Half Day Camps

SMBA Half Day Camps

By condensing the learning experience into a half day, participants can fully engage and absorb the skills being taught without feeling fatigued or overwhelmed. This concentrated format allows riders to quickly build upon their existing abilities and see noticeable improvement within a short period!

Stowe Mountain Bike Academy's Half Day Camp offers riders the ultimate flexibility by providing concentrated and effective skill development in a shorter camp format. This option is ideal for those who need to build stamina or hone their skills for a full week of camp later in the season, prepare for an upcoming family biking trip, or for those who simply want to drop into a program when convenient.

Participants can also use this opportunity to incrementally build endurance and skills by attending once, twice, or three times per week throughout the season.

In addition to developing riding skills, our program emphasizes safety, trail etiquette, and environmental awareness.

Camp Details

  • Duration: Our half-day camps run for three hours, allowing participants to enjoy a focused and engaging mountain biking experience.

  • Time: Camps scheduled in the morning. Private lessons are available in the afternoon

  • Skill Focus: Our experienced instructors tailor the camp activities to cater to the skill level goals of the registered program. Remember that the progression through these levels is not always linear, and riders may find they excel in some areas while needing more practice in others. Participants who confidently meet the learning goals of their program will advance to the next level to continue their progression. The goal is to keep camp fun and engaging, ensuring a rewarding experience for everyone.

  • Activities: Participants can look forward to skill development sessions in a field environment using SMBA ramps, rollers and drops, trail rides with pauses to session key features, games, and more, all conducted in a supportive and encouraging environment.
